Sorry but tonights show is cancelled! Stay tuned next Thursday for the Snack Pak Show!

Money saving tip

Instead of buying things new, get them used or for free on Craig’s List.

Whatever else you do today, make sure you avoid bottling up your emotions. It doesn’t take long for them to explode, and you’d rather be in control of them than a horrified onlooker!

Is your love life stagnating? If you’re single, now is definitely the time to take a risk. If you’re part of a couple, it’s harder but more fruitful — just sit down and start talking. It all gets better soon!

You may be a bit scattered today, so write out everything you need to do and then get to work! If you can’t force yourself to get organized, you might want to ask a good friend for assistance.

It’s a day full of possibilities for you, so make the most of this great energy! If you want to start or restart something, now is the best time, as the world is looking to you for cues. Show it what you want!

This is not the time to think everything through rationally — but, of course, you should still listen to reason. Just trust your gut first and foremost, and only check it if a good friend says you should.

Try to spend more time around people today — they need you, but you also need them. It may be that you come up short financially and need a boost, or that one key friend has the skills you need to move forward.

Try to stay as flexible as possible today — otherwise, you’re likely to fall behind. If you can adjust to a new schedule or accommodate a new request, you are sure to score some big points!

Your great energy needs fuel — so get out there and feed it! You definitely crave novelty, which could come from nearly anywhere, so get out there and find something new and wild to try.

Your people need you! It may be a real crisis or just an emotional boo-boo, but your presence and attention are required. You may find that you’re spread too thin, but just do what you can.

You need to wander today — even if you’re locked down at work or home with a sick kid. You may have to just go with internet ramblings, but if you can take off somewhere new, you should!

Its time to move on! Whether you’re retreating from a bad date or getting out of a terrible job, you need to leave the past firmly behind and set out for your next big challenge. Things are looking up!

Your dreams are carefully composed dramas that are trying to teach you something — especially tonight! Pay close attention to the little details, if possible, and see what comes of them.

Electronic of the Week 5-24-12

As more professionals take their desks on the road, mobile workstations are increasingly in need of portable scanners like the DS-30 that draw power from a laptop’s USB port, meaning users don’t need to lug around another bulky power cord.

In terms of design, the DS-30 isn’t winning any beauty contests and certainly doesn’t sound as adorable as the similarly featured Doxie Go, but it weighs just 11.5 ounces and looks easy enough to slip in a bag or briefcase.

It also comes bundled with Epson’s Document Capture Pro software that opens up multiple destination options to save your documents, including one-touch uploads to the cloud using Web apps like Google Docs, Evernote, and SharePoint.

It’ll also scan smaller media such as business cards and placards with work-related features like autocorrection, punch hole removal, and text enhancement, but it can’t compete with the Doxie’s social features–the comprehensive (and cheaper) Doxie Go automatically generates a URL of your document for easy sharing through social networks, and the picture sensor does the work for you by dropping it into your Flickr and Picnik accounts.

Regardless, the Epson WorkForce DS-30 portable scanner benefits from Epson’s experience in the field, and I wouldn’t hesitate to make use of the 600dpi sensor for scanning receipts, business cards, meeting notes, and other professional documents.

The Epson WorkForce DS-30 will be available in March for $179.

Whitney Houston’s Daughter Bobbi Kristina and Ex Ray J Cause Drama in Las Vegas

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and the late singer’s ex-boyfriend Ray J put the “sin” in Sin City separately this past weekend while in town for the Billboard Music Awards. After accepting the Millennium Award on her mother’s behalf onstage Sunday night, 19-year-old Brown hit the MGM Grand’s slot machines — a big no-no since she’s underage. After video footage of Brown and her adopted brother-turned-boyfriend Nick Gordon, 22, showed up on TMZ on Monday, both the hotel and the Nevada Gaming Commission have launched investigations. If it’s proven that the teen broke the law, she faces up to six months in county jail or a $1,000 fine.

That same day, Houston’s former beau, Ray J, ended up in a Las Vegas-area hospital after he was found “out of it” and unable to get up from the bed in his hotel room following a night of partying after the awards show. According to TMZ, Ray J was extremely disoriented, so an ambulance was called. His rep told E! Online that the 31-year-old R&B singer, one of the last people to see Houston alive before her cocaine-induced death, was suffering from “exhaustion and jet lag” after a whirlwind 32-hour trip from Los Angeles to China and back just prior to the Billboard Awards. As of Tuesday, Ray J was still in the hospital.

At the awards ceremony on Sunday night, Houston’s sister-in-law Patricia alerted her personal security after she realized that Ray J, who made a sex tape with Kim Kardashian before he moved on to Houston, was seated next to Bobbi Kristina. According to reports, just before she and her niece took to the stage to accept her award, Patricia demanded that Ray J be kicked out of his spot — but he wouldn’t budge. Security staffers at the event were then called over, but eventually smoothed things out after suggesting there not be a scene considering it’s live television. Even though he was able to stay, Ray J reportedly told a friend, “Pat ruined what was a great opportunity to honor the woman who I loved.”

During her Billboard Awards speech, Bobbi Kristina thanked her mother’s many fans who showed her family support following her February 11 death at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “Thank you so much for showing that much love, because she deserved it,” said the emotional teen. “She did. I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life. There will never be another one, never, and I thank you, all of you, fans, everyone, thank you so much.”
